Thomas Tuchel has been sacked by Paris Saint-Germain with the former Borussia Dortmund boss ‘interested’ in the Arsenal and Man Utd jobs, according to reports.

His sacking comes off the back of a huge 4-0 victory over Strasbourg yesterday, although the French club do sit in third place in Ligue 1, one point behind Lyon and Lille.

And now Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk has claimed that PSG have ‘dismissed’ Tuchel as their manager on Christmas Eve.

Tuchel, who took over the reins in May 2018, led PSG to the Champions League final last term, which they lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich.

And following their poor start to their domestic campaign, the PSG hierarchy have reportedly made their move to sack Tuchel.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss won’t be short of admirers, though, and Falk adds that Tuchel is ‘interested in the next step’ which will be to the Premier League, with the Sport Bild man tagging Arsenal and Man Utd in his tweet.

Tuchel has had to deal with big personalities during his time at PSG and recently admitted it can be a “big challenge” to keep the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar happy.

“Sometimes it’s very easy, sometimes it’s a big challenge,” Tuchel said. “At a club like PSG there are many influences. That’s why it can be very challenging to keep all the guys happy.

“Honestly, in the first six months here it felt like I was more of a sports politician or sports minister than a coach.”
