The best street style from VAEFNO Melbourne 2019

On August 29, Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out took over Melbourne’s CBD for a fashion-filled day of shopping. Exclusive offers were redeemed, special gifts were handed out and live performances and interactive in-store activations were enjoyed. 

As VAEFNO celebrated its fifth anniversary in Melbourne, the shoppers attending the one-day-only extravaganza pulled out all the sartorial stops for the occasion. Taking to the streets in their best and bravest looks, the fashion set channelled the New York City block party theme in the chicest way imaginable as they stepped out in their exclusive -branded VAEFNO 2019 T-shirts, courtesy of Bassike. 

There is no denying that suiting took centre stage on the day, with a sea of shoppers descending upon Melbourne’s CBD, specifically the fun-filled Little Bourke Street, wearing sharp and tailored power suits paired with the season’s best-loved ankle boots, or on-trend heeled sandals.  

The midi skirt also made an impression on the day, with many opting to add a pop of colour, or flash of metallic with a silky, pleated, or A-line calf-skimming number. While the spotlight was somewhat stolen by the vast and varied styles of skirts and suits at VAEFNO, trusty denim also proved to be a crowd favourite. Shoppers gave their exclusive  x Bassike T-shirts the tuck treatment, accessorised with belts, and wore their jeans in a range of trending cuts. 

In terms of accessories, VAEFNO attendees elevated their looks by way of high-fashion handbags, eye-catching statement pieces of jewellery and coats that were perfect for the cool weather the Victorian capital delivered.
