Report: WWE Contacted Enzo & Cass About Possible Return on NXT Brand
— According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has been in contact with Enzo and Cass about a “surprise return” to be top stars on NXT. It’s unclear if they’ve accepted any offers but neither guy has done much of anything after leaving WWE. While nothing is finalized, any potential return is being discussed for either the first NXT show on USA Network or the third show (which would be the one that goes against AEW).
— It should be noted that WWE officials have only discussed a return with the tag team and that there would be obvious negativity in bringing both of them back, especially Enzo as any sort of focal point on the NXT brand. However, as reported before, Vince sees the head-to-head with AEW as a “war” and he wants surprises of which there just aren’t many out there to happen.
