The September 9th, 2019 edition of WWE RAW took place at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.

– WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin comes out to the ring to kick off tonight’s show. Stone Cold takes a trip down memory lane and talks about some of his greatest moments in Madison Square Garden, and the crowd chants “What” along with him. Stone Cold gets down to the matter at hand, the contract signing for Sunday’s pay-per-view, and first he introduces Braun Strowman. One half of the RAW Tag Team Champions Braun Strowman comes down to the ring. Braun extends his hand to Stone Cold, but Stone Cold doesn’t shake it. Stone Cold introduces the other half of the Tag Champs and Universal Champion Seth Rollins next. Austin now shakes Braun’s hand and also Seth’s hand. Austin says he doesn’t know what the problem with this contract was, but now he’s here to make sure they take care of business. Seth talks about how excited he is to be in Madison Square Garden with Steve Austin. Seth says Braun is concerned that Steve has it in for him. Seth talks about the “What” chants, which prompts more of them. Steve tells Seth that it’s time for someone to write their name on the damn contract. Before signing, Seth says he wants to tell Braun that he isn’t going to be stabbing Braun in the back, but after Clash of Champions he’s still going to have his Championships. Seth signs the contracts, and then Steve passes the contracts to Braun. Braun says he grew up watching Steve and he respects him, but he’s be real, a rattlesnake is still a rattlesnake. Braun says he isn’t turning his back on Seth in their Tag Team match, but he’s going to love being Universal Champion. AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows come out to interrupt and AJ does his best Stone Cold impression. AJ asks if anyone cares about Stone Cold anymore, and the crowd cheers. The crowd gives AJ the “What” chant treatment, and AJ says this is why nobody likes coming to New York. AJ and Steve start trading words, and AJ tells Steve this has nothign to do with him. AJ says the RAW Tag champs didn’t have the gall to give Gallows and Anderson a rematch. The crowd chants “Asshole” at AJ. AJ says Steve has turned into the asshole in his old age. AJ, Gallows and Anderson get in the ring now, and AJ continues talking trash to Steve. Austin says he doesn’t know where AJ is coming from, but he knows where he’s going. Seth and Braun then attack The OC and clear the ring. Braun hits the running tackle on Gallows at ringside, then he drops Anderson on the ramp. Meanwhile in the ring, Seth looks for the Curb Stomp on AJ, but AJ dodges it and dumps Rollins outside. AJ turns around right into Austin, and Austin gives AJ the middle fingers and the Stone Cold Stunner. Stone Cold has a couple beers on his way out of the ring and heads to the back.

– Still to come: Becky Lynch & Charlotte vs. Sasha & Bayley

– AJ Styles vs. Cedric Alexander: Cedric starts off strong with a flurry of strikes on Styles. Cedric misses a shot and AJ starts firing back with right hands. They run the ropes and Cedric fires back with a big flying kick. AJ rolls outside and Cedric hits a suicide dive on him. Back in the ring, Cedric hits AJ with a knee to the face. AJ fires back with a kick to the head. AJ runs the ropes, but Cedric catches him and hits a Michinoku Driver for a two count. Cedric hits a kick to the face and then looks for a shot off the top, but Gallows and Anderson interfere and knocks Cedric down. All three of them beat down Cedric in the ring now until The Viking Raiders come out for the save. Cedric and the Raiders beat down The OC and clear the ring.

Winner via DQ: Cedric Alexander

– We go backstage where Sasha Banks and Bayley talk about being back together, and their tag match against Charlotte and Becky tonight.

– We see Charlotte and Becky in their locker room getting dressed, but it doesn’t look like they’re getting along.

– Roman Reigns comes out to the stage in a Connor’s Cure sure and talks about his recovery from Leukemia. Reigns brings out some kids from the Connor’s Cure foundation to the stage. Reigns talks about their battles and thanks them for joining him on stage.

– Charlotte & Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks & Bayley: This one turns into an all-out brawl at ringside before the bell. Charlotte brings a steel chair in the ring and clears the ring. Back from the commercial, the referee has regained control and the opening bell sounds. Becky works over Bayley in the opening moments, and then Charlotte tags in and continues the offense. Becky tags back in, and Sasha also gets the tag. Sasha starts turning things around, and then Bayley tags in for the double team. Becky fights back, then Charlotte and Sasha tag back in. Charlotte hits a fallaway slam and then a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Sasha tries to fight back, but Charlotte drops her and applies the Figure Eight. Bayley and Becky run in, and Bayley throws Becky into Charlotte to break up the Figure Eight. Back from the commercial break, Bayley tags in and double teams Charlotte. Charlotte dodges and shot at Becky gets the hot tag. Becky clears the ring and then hits a flying knee shot on Sasha. Back in the ring, Beck hits a flying leg drops on Bayley, then Charlotte tags in and hits a moonsault off the top on Bayley. Charlotte pins, but Sasha breaks it up. Becky takes Sasha out to ringside and puts her in the Disarm Her, but Bayley breaks it up. Charlottes comes outside and Bayley suplexes her on the floor. Charlotte and Bayley are the legal women, and a distraction from Sasha on the apron leads to Bayley rolling up Charlotte for a two count. Charlotte reverses the pin into a roll-up of her own for the three count.

Winners: Charlotte & Becky Lynch

– We go to the broadcast table where Cole sends us to a replay of the contract signing earlier tonight.

– The OC is backstage for a brief interview. They get interrupted by Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler. Roode and Ziggler approach The OC, and tell them they have enemies in common, so maybe they should enlist their help. Ziggler extends his hand, and AJ shakes it, and says he likes those guys.

– Rey Mysterio vs. Grand Metalik: Rey and Metalik trade holdes and takedowns in the opening moments with some classic lucha libre spots and reversals. Rey misses a dive and Metalik fires back with a superkick. Back in the ring, Metalik hits a springboard swanton bomb off the top for a two count. Rey starts to fight back, but Metalik sends him back down to the mat with a missle dropkick. Metalik takes Rey up to the top turnbuckle now. Metalik hits a Frankensteiner on Rey off the top for a two count. They run the ropes and Metalik misses a shot, and Rey capitlizes with a sunset flip powerbomb on Metalik. Rey fights back and hits the 619, and then a frogsplash off the top for the three count.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

– Rey helps Metalik up to his feet after the match and they shake hands.

– The Street Profits are backstage to cut a promo. They talk about tonight’s contract signing and they hype up Clash of Champions on Sunday.

– Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin vs. Ricochet: This one is a Triple Threat, King Of The Ring tournament match. Joe and Ricochet go at it early on as Corbin observes from ringside. Corbin runs back in the ring and tackles Ricochet down, after Ricochet had sent Joe out to ringside. Ricochet fights back and hits a standing shooting star press on Corbin. Corbin rolls out to ringside, and Ricochet follows and boots him in the face. Ricochet then gets back in the ring and hits a dive on Joe on the opposite side of the ring. Ricochet runs across the ring again and his a dive on Corbin at ringside. Ricochet looks for a hurricanrana on Corbin at ringside, but Corbin catches him and slams him into the ring post. Joe and Corbin fight back into the ring, and Joe pins Corbin but Ricochet breaks it up. Joe dumps Ricochet outside, then hits a flurry of strikes on Corbin, followed by a Senton bomb. Joe pins but Ricochet breaks it up again. Corbin rolls outside now while Ricochet and Joe go at it. Joe and Ricochet fight up the turnbuckle, but Corbin interrupts and breaks it up. Corbin drops Ricochet with a clothesline, and then Joe boots Corbin in the face. Ricochet drops Joe with a kick, and all three men are down now. Corbin dumps Joe outside, and goes at it with Ricochet now. Joe takes Corbin out to ringside and puts him in the Coquin Clutch, but Ricochet breaks it up with a dive. Ricochet takes joe back in the ring, then goes up top. Ricochet misses a shot and Joe looks for the Clutch, but Ricochet escapes and hits the Recoil. Ricochet goes up top and hits the 630 on Joe. Corbin breaks up the pin and throws Ricochet into the crowd. Corbin gets back in the ring and steals the pin on Joe for the three count. Corbin now advances to the King Of The Ring finals.

Winner: Baron Corbin

– Corbin celebrates on the stage after the match and sits on the King Of The Ring throne.

– Lacey Evans vs. Natalya: Natalya starts off strong and unloads with a flurry of strikes on Lacey. Lacey fights back and looks for a moonsault off the top, but Natalya dodges it. Lacey fires back with a kick to the body, and then slams her head on the mat by the head. Natalya fights back and locks Lacey in the Sharpshooter. Lacey taps out for the finish after a short but competitive match. Natalya refuses to let go of the hold after the bell for a little while.

Winner: Natalya

– It’s time for a new edition of Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House. As soon as it starts, he gets interrupted by the rabbit who says a stranger is coming. Bray asks if he means Stone Cold Steve Austin. The witch chimes in and asks what Bray is going to do about it. The buzzard and the pig puppets also chime in and say strangers are bad people. The witch says their clock has been stuck at 3:!6 ever since Stone Cold stopped by, and the puppets start taunting Bray. Bray “fixes” the witch’s clock with a hammer, and the time changes to 11:19. Bray says Steve didn’t invoke The Fiend just by being an old rattlesnake, and strangers are just friends you haven’t made yet. Bray looks into the camera and says friends won’t help where you’re going. He says “The Fiend never forgets,” and then “see you in Hell.”

– The Viking Raiders, Cedric Alexander, Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman vs. The OC, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode: Rollins and Ziggler start this one off. Ivar tags in, and then Erik, for the double team on Ziggler. The aprons clear as all ten men start brawling in the ring. The ring clears and it’s down to Braun and Dolph, and Braun hits a big chokeslam. AJ and Cedric tag in now and start trading shots. Gallows tags in and works over Cedric in the corner now. Roode tags in and puts the boots to Cedric next. Roode applies a shoulder lock on Cedric and tries to keep him grounded. Rollins finally gets the hot tag and starts cleaning house. Ziggler comes in and drops Rollins with a kick, and then the aprons clear and everyone starts brawling. Rollins gets back up and drops AJ with a superkick. Braun runs around ringside now and tackles everyone in his sight. Back in the ring, Braun hits the running powerslam on Anderson and pins. Braun pins, but then Gallows knocks Rollins into Braun to break up the pin. Rollins and Braun briefly come face to face, then they go apart. Anderson starts working over Rollins now. He hits a spinebuster on the Universal Champ for a two count. Ziggler tags in, but Rollins shuts him down with a Buckle Bomb. AJ tags in, but he misses a shot on Rollins, and Braun gets the hot tag. Braun hits a series of shoulder blocks on AJ. The fight spills out to ringside, and this leaves to Ivar hitting a splash off the top rope on to everyone at ringside. Back in the ring, Cedric hits the Lumbar Check on AJ for the three count.

Winners: The Viking Raiders, Cedric Alexander, Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman

– After the match, Stone Cold Steve Austin’s music hits, and Stone Cold hit the ring. Beers get thrown in the ring, and Stone Cold hosts a beer bash with the winners. Stone Cold calls for more beers and hands them out. The beer bash continues as RAW goes off the air.
