Wolves ‘start search for Nuno successor’ amid Tottenham links
Wolves have started searching for Nuno Espirito Santo’s managerial successor, according to reports.
The 47-year-old has been linked with the Tottenham job following the departure of Jose Mourinho.
The West Midlands side are worried that Nuno could walk away from Molineux after four years in charge.

According to the Daily Mail, Wolves have recently begun lining up potential replacements.
At the moment, there are three men known to be on the club’s radar.
The first is former Porto and Fenerbahce boss Vitor Pereira, who has been out of work since leaving Chinese side Shanghai Port FC last year.
Pereira won the Portuguese league in back-to-back seasons with Porto between 2011 and 2013. He also turned down the Everton job two years ago.
Pereira is joined by Rui Faria on the shortlist. Faria is best known for working with Mourinho for 17 years at the likes of Porto, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Faria’s first and only full managerial role to date is with Al-Duhail in Qatar. He is rumoured to be interested in a return to Europe and could take over if Nuno joins Spurs.
The final man is 44-year-old Bruno Lage, whose last role was as manager at Benfica. He’s also worked as an assistant at Swansea City and Sheffield Wednesday.
All three options are Portuguese, as Wolves aim to keep their strong links with the country going. They have a host of Portuguese players in the first-team, including Joao Moutinho and Pedro Neto.
The three managers also all have links with infamous super-agent Jorge Mendes, as does Nuno. In the summer, Mendes could engineer a major move for Nuno before being involved in Wolves’ search for his successor.
Nuno has enjoyed great success at Molineux since taking charge in 2017. In his first season, he helped Wolves to return to the top flight for the first time in six years. They picked up 99 points, nine ahead of second-placed Cardiff.
Since then they’ve secured back-to-back seventh-placed finishes in the Premier League. Nuno has impressed fellow managers and clubs during that time.
This campaign has been slightly harder for everyone involved at Wolves. They lost talisman Raul Jimenez to a serious injury towards the start of the season.
His absence up front has cost them plenty of goals and they now sit 12th in the table.
