Why WWE Is Not Making Mention of Bobby Lashley’s First Run in the Company, WWE Women On “Carpool Karaoke”
Since Bobby Lashley returned to WWE, the company has been quiet about discussing details of his first run with the company, with it only being mentioned once when Lashley made his surprise return after WrestleMania 34.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is keeping quiet on Lashley’s first WWE run because of his on-screen relationship with President Donald Trump. Lashley was selected by Trump to represent him in his “Battle of the Billionaires” WrestleMania match against Vince McMahon.
Meltzer noted that due to Trump being a controversial figure in the country, and WWE distancing itself publicly from politics, Lashley’s first WWE has not been mentioned or recalled on TV.
