Was The Dog Your Husband? Cruel Woman Asks Before Bludgeoning Dog To Death With Washing Bat

Cases of animal cruelty seem to be on the rise. In the latest incident, a stray dog was bludgeoned to death with a washing bat by a woman in Mumbai last week. The woman who lives in Vakola chawl killed the dog after it had vomited outside her house, the Times of India had reported. The local police have registered an FIR against the woman under Indian Penal Code Section 489 for mischief by killing an animal. According to police, the offence took place on January 13.

“Though Macho was a stray dog, everybody took care of him. He was my pet and I used to feed and bathe him. On the fateful day, I was seated outside my room with a friend at midnight when I saw Macho moving about in the locality”, Vandana Jadhav, a resident in the chawl said.
