This week’s WWE Smackdown Live was highlighted by Money in the Bank PPV fallout, plus a nearly one-hour long Gauntlet match which saw Rusev crowned as the new #1 contender to AJ Styles’ WWE Championship.

According to ShowBuzz Daily, this week’s WWE Smackdown Viewership was aided by the big match hype and PPV fallout, as it averaged 2.315 million viewers, which is an increase from the 2.183 million viewership average for last week’s show. This is the second week in a row that WWE Smackdown Viewership has increased, as both Smackdown and Raw heading into Money in the Bank last week saw viewership spikes.

This week’s WWE Smackdown ranked #5 in overall cable TV viewership for the night, and was the most-watched show overall for the night in the 18-49 demographic.
