Update: Dana Warrior Hired As WWE Writing "Consultant," Bruce Prichard's Status

As our own Jeff Whalen reported on Thursday evening via Pro Wrestling Sheet that Dana Warrior, widow of the late WWE Hall Of Famer The Ultimate Warrior, has joined the WWE creative team.

According to the original report, Dana was added to the WWE writing team to “offer more of a female perspective.” Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that while Dana was at WWE television this past week and is scheduled to be at TV once again this coming week, she has not been officially hired as part of the WWE writing team, but instead as a “consultant.”

Meltzer did note, however, that her status with the company could change to being an actual member of the WWE writing team in the future.

The veteran pro wrestling reporter also noted that Bruce Prichard being re-hired by WWE has led to some overstatements about his actual spot in the pecking order behind-the-scenes. Meltzer noted that Prichard was also hired in a “consultant” role, not an actual full spot on the WWE writing team.

Although he now has an active job with WWE, Prichard will continue his podcast with Conrad Thompson, “Something to Wrestle With.” The podcast airs every week at MLWRadio.com. He also has a show of the same name on the WWE Network.
