Update: Brian Kendrick Suffers Broken Nose & Orbital Bone During Raw Match; WWE Targets Hideo Itami’s GTS

September 23, 2021 0 By HearthstoneYarns

As we reported earlier this afternoon, 205 Live star The Brian Kendrick was taken to the hospital following his match with Hideo Itami on last night’s episode of WWE Raw. Kendrick took a very stiff shot from Itami’s signature GTS and was checked on by doctors who came down to ringside following their bout.

WWE has now confirmed that Kendrick suffered a broken nose and a broken orbital bone as a result of the manuever, and interestingly enough the company is specifically and publicly targeting Itami’s GTS as the culprit.

As of now we don’t have an official timetable on his return, but it’s likely he will be out of action for at least a few months. The busted nose shouldn’t really be an issue as they’re a fairly common injury, but the orbital bone (which is basically a broken eye socket) will need some time to set, depending on the severity of the fracture. NJPW star Michael Elgin suffered a broken orbital bone back in 2015 and was out for three months.
