Manchester United target Dayot Upamecano has revealed that he has held talks with a number of clubs over a summer transfer.

The 21-year signed a new deal with RB Leipzig in July, but has admitted that he has spoken to interested parties looking to lure him away from the club.

United have reportedly set their sights on Upamecano after tying up a £40million deal for Donny van de Beek.

But despite being “in demand”, the centre-back insists he is “not in a hurry” to leave the Bundesliga side as he is learning a lot under Julian Nagelsmann.

“I’ve been in Leipzig for more than three years, I feel good. I’ve been in demand, I talked to some clubs, it’s true, but I’m not in a hurry,” he said, as reported by MEN.

“We’ll see what happens in the future.

“I extended my contract with Leipzig because I feel good with my team-mates. My coach is giving me confidence. He’s learning as well, but he gives me confidence and it improves my level.”
