Transfer ‘all agreed’ as midfielder edges closer to Utd
Man Utd are closing in on the signing of Independiente Del Valle starlet Moises Caicedo, according to reports in Ecuador.
The Red Devils were linked with the Ecuador international last weekend with rumours that he could be a replacement for Paul Pogba, with speculation the Frenchman could leave.
Caicedo only made his first-team debut for Independiente del Valle in October 2019 but since then his career has taken off.
Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal stars in XI of players available in January…
Over the last 14 months he has made 30 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and providing two assists for his team-mates, while he has now played four times for his national team, grabbing a goal and three assists.
On Wednesday, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed interest from Man Utd and said that the club will ‘decide soon’ over whether to complete a deal for Caicedo.
And now a journalist in Ecuador called Marco Lopez Castillo (via Sport Witness) claims that the transfer ‘is all agreed’ and that only ‘legal issues’ remain before he can complete a move to Old Trafford.
He adds that the ‘contract is not signed yet’ but the ‘player has every desire to get to Manchester’ as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping that his side can build on their 6-2 victory against Leeds United when they take to the field at Old Trafford versus Wolves on Tuesday night.
“I think the last game we played at Old Trafford was a very positive one,” Solskjaer told MUTV.
“We have to build on that performance and the way we attacked and the way we went about the game. We’ve been doing well away from home, but now there’s no travel and more time to recover between the games and it’s fresh this morning [Monday] so we should be ready.”
