Target is teaming up with Vineyard Vines for a limited-edition
collaboration of home and apparel items. The American retail chain,
which just this week began inviting third party retailers to sell on
its e-commerce site, is no stranger to creating lines in partnership
with fashion and lifestyle brands. Its current ans past collaborators
include Joanna Gaines, TOMS, Lilly Pulitzer, Hunter and Marimekko.
Lifestyle apparel brand Vineyard Vines is based in Stamford, CT,
and creates clothing for men, women and children based on values of
leisure and a positive state of mind.
The brand’s CEO and co-founder, Shep Murray, said in a statement
that Target “shares many of our same values including fun, optimism
and innovation,” and added that Vineyard Vines looks forward to
testing out home goods, which is a new product category for it.
The limited-edition collection will include over 300 unique items
across categories including clothing, accessories, swim, home and
outdoor goods. The apparel collection will encompass womenswear,
menswear and childrenswear, as the collaboration is intended to
celebrate the theme of welcomed, summer gatherings. The collection
will range in price from 2 to 120 dollars, with most items costing
less than 35 dollars.
“Vineyard vines is a brand that our guests know and love, and one
that exemplifies our shared sense of optimism and joy through their
use of bold colors and prints,” said Mark Tritton,Target’s executive
vice president and chief merchandising officer. “We worked closely
with the Vineyard Vnes team to create a collection of well-designed,
affordable items that are meant to bring people together… Launching
just as summer kicks off, this is the perfect collection to help our
guests create lasting memories with family and friends, all season
long.”
The Vineyard Vines for Target line will be available in Target
stores and online starting May 18.
