Styloko to launch in the US prior to Black Friday
London-based social shopping site Styloko is sent to launch in the US
this Friday, just in the time for one of the largest retail days of
the year Black Friday, which falls on November 28 this year.
The move comes after Styloko relaunched its UK site earlier this week,
moving its platform from IBM to Amazon.
Founded in 2012 by Ivailo Jordanov, Styloko aims to open its local
site in the US in order to better connect with its growing customer
base throughout the country. 30 percent of Styloko online traffic
already comes from the US, so launching a local site was the next
step.
“A lot of retailers already ship to the US, but it really came down
to dollars, we wanted to change that currency and make it localised,”
revealed Shannon Edwards, Chief Executive of Styloko to Drapers.
To really cater to its US consumers, Styloko will also be celebrating
Black Friday, which falls the day after Thanksgiving, and is set to
launch a discounts page that will bring together all the top deals
from the site’s featured labels in one place, making it easier for
shoppers to browse through the deals.
Styloko also aims to roll out more local sites as the business
continues to expand, with its sights set on launching local sites n
Germany France and Spain in 2015.
