Tottenham are interested in signing Barcelona defender Marc Cucurella, according to reports in Spain.

The Spaniard has spent the 2019/2020 season on loan at fellow La Liga outfit Getafe, where he has made 33 appearances and contributed a goal and four assists.

Marca claim that left-back will complete a €6m move at the end of the campaign after impressing Getafe enough for them to want to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Napoli, Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen have all been linked with the 21-year-old in recent weeks.

And another report in Spain from newspaper La Razón (via Sport Witness) claims that Tottenham and a number of other clubs ‘threaten’ his future at Getafe.

The report adds that Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho ‘wants to recruit’ Cucurella as he looks to strengthen his squad in the next transfer window.

With Danny Rose already out on loan at Newcastle and likely to leave in the summer, it makes sense that Spurs would be on the lookout for a new left-back.
