Sofia Vergara launches denim line with Walmart

Actress Sofia Vergara, best known for her role in ABC’s Modern
Family, has found herself a new role: a denim entrepreneur.

Vergara partnered with Walmart on an affordable collection of
nearly 100 clothing items. Called Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara, the
line is all priced under 40 dollars and includes sizing from 0 to 20
in denim and XS to 3XL in tops.

The denim products include both trend-forward and staple elements,
such as skinny jeans, high-waists, embroidery and raw edges. Other
product offerings include denim skirts, jackets, T-shirts and
tops.

Vergara plans to introduce new styles to the line seasonally. The
actress is motivated by a desire to offer trendy styles to the mass
market at affordable pricing.

She had previously sold a fashion and home line through Kmart for
four years, ranging across clothing, accessories, swim, shapewear,
jewelry, luggage and home products.

Her new line with Walmart will be sold exclusively on the
retailer’s e-commerce site.

I wanted to create an affordable line and I wanted to create
something that was super good quality and that I would wear and I
would be happy to see other girls around me wear and be proud of,”
Vergara told WWD.
