Scholes pinpoints reason why Chelsea won’t win the title
Paul Scholes can’t see Chelsea winning the Premier League this season as they lack the necessary creativity after they lost 2-1 to Wolves on Tuesday night.
Daniel Podence cancelled out Olivier Giroud’s opener before Neto hit Chelsea on the break at the death to complete Wolves’ comeback.
Victory would have taken Chelsea top but they slipped to a second-straight defeat following Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Everton.

“I just think there’s a little bit a lack of creativity on the pitch,” Scholes told BT Sport.
“(N’Golo) Kante does what he does brilliantly well and he’s got two young players next to him in Mason Mount and Kai Havertz, who I think will be sensational players, but that’s why I don’t think they’ll win the league this year.
“It’s a bit early for them. They’ll be up there, close to Manchester City and Liverpool I just don’t think they are that ready.”
Analysing the match, former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole picked out Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante as the two players at fault for Wolves’ winning goal.
“I think Chelsea when they analyse the second half I think they’ll kick themselves, particularly for Neto’s goal, because they just lost their shape a little bit when they were attacking,” Cole said on Amazon Prime Video.
“And what you needed was Kovacic or Kante to just deal with that ball as [Wolves] cleared it, and then they could have sustained the attack.
“They didn’t do that and too many times they were letting Neto, Traore and Podence, in the last 30 minutes, just drive at their back four and the game became end-to-end and Wolves looked like they had the fitter, stronger, more athletic team.”
