ROH Announces New Match As Opening Bout For Supercard Of Honor XII

Ring Of Honor (ROH) announced the opening match for their Supercard of Honor XII event this week in New Orleans.

Jonathan Gresham And Chuckie T. Face Off At Supercard Of Honor

The largest crowd in Ring of Honor will descend upon New Orleans when Supercard of Honor is broadcast LIVE for all HonorClub Members on Saturday April 7! With a Double Main Event of the ROH World Champion Dalton Castle defending against “The Villain” Marty Scurll and Bullet Club seemingly fracturing at the seams when “The American Nightmare” Cody takes on “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega, the crowning of the first-ever Women of Honor Champion, and so much more, the night is packed with dream matches featuring the biggest stars from around the globe from ROH, New Japan, Stardom, and more!

In February at Honor Reigns Supreme, Jonathan Gresham put himself to the test against one of the greatest ROH World Champions of all-time Jay Lethal. Gresham was on his way to a career-defining victory before injuring his knee during the bout. Gresham has already been cleared to compete at Masters of the Craft, airing LIVE for HonorClub on April 15, and Gresham’s team of doctors have cleared him to compete one week earlier at Supercard of Honor! He takes on a man who has ascended to New Japan Main Events as part of CHAOS, Chuckie T.!

This match will kick off Supercard of Honor, starting precisely at 8:30 E/7:30 C, streaming LIVE for all HonorClub members!

CHUCKIE T. vs. JONATHAN GRESHAM

Chuckie T. and Berretta were well on their way to contending and capturing the ROH World Tag Team Championships when Berretta tore his bicep, keeping him out of ROH and NJPW action. After Chuckie T. realized in front of a sold-out Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom that Berretta was “almost dead” during Manhattan Mayhem, Taylor took Berretta’s place on the upcoming New Japan tours and made his mark.

Teaming with IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, Chuckie T. saw his star rise with victories in tag and six-man tag team action and returns to Ring of Honor with his star higher than ever. With his partner Berretta on the mend, Chuckie T. has a chance to pick up a big singles victory!

Standing in Chuckie T.’s way is a man determined to get back into the ring following a devastating knee injury, “The Octopus” Jonathan Gresham! Gresham brings his own international experience, over a dozen countries in over four continents before the age of 30, to compete in front of the largest crowd in ROH history!
