Marcus Rashford is pleased with the progress that Manchester United have made, but they must now “get over the line and win trophies”.

Man United are in really good form of late as they are unbeaten in six games in all competitions. This improved form has seen them rise up to the Premier League table.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side now sit second in the league. They are three points behind Liverpool at the top, but United do have a game in hand over their rivals.

The Red Devils have reached three semi-finals under Solskjaer, but they are yet to win a trophy since he took over in December 2018.

They are set to face Man City in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup. They will also hope to be in contention to win the FA Cup and Europa League come the end of the season

In an interview on the club’s official website, Rashford spoke positively about Man United’s improvements this season:

“The platform has been there for a while and in this last year, we’ve taken greater steps forward which is obviously a positive for us.

“We missed out on winning some trophies, losing in the semi-finals and that’s what we need to correct in the coming year and make sure we get over the line and win trophies.

“That’s the next thing for us to do as a team then it’s about doing it consistently and being able to repeat it back-to-back which is more difficult than getting it the first time.

“We’ve still got a long journey ahead of us, but at the moment we’re in a good place and we’re concentrating on ourselves and our team and just trying to improve ourselves in each game.”
