PSG exit ‘could suit’ Meunier amid Man Utd, Arsenal links
Thomas Meunier admits it “could suit” him to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer amid speculation linking him with Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Belgium international is entering the final year of his contract at PSG and is being linked with a host of clubs including United and Everton.
Meunier has played 29 times this season in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists from full-back.
The 27-year-old was linked with a move to United in L’Equipe at the end of April with the French newspaper claiming a €25-30million transfer is ‘likely’ this summer.
However, France Football claimed last week that Unai Emery wants the Gunners to sign Meunier after being impressed by the defender during his time at Parc des Princes.
When asked about whether he could be moving on this summer, Meunier told Le Parisien: “It’s something that could suit me.
“I don’t think the club would make a lot of money from me, actually. I have a market value, but I’m a defender, I play one game out of three and I’m turning 28.
“It’s not like Adrien, who is worth €50m.
“There have been phone calls since January with interested clubs.
“There are a dozen clubs, all of which are in the top five of their leagues.”
