Pogba says he will not ‘become a negative force’ at Man Utd

Paul Pogba has told Manchester United ‘that he will NOT split the dressing room this season’. It would be weird if he had informed them otherwise.

Pogba expressed his desire for “a new challenge” in June to spark a summer-long pursuit by Real Madrid.

Juventus also emerged as potential suitors – and reportedly remain interested in their former midfielder.

But it is unlikely United will sanction Pogba’s planned £150m exit now that the Premier League transfer window is shut, preventing them from signing a replacement.

With Pogba staying, the Daily Mirror say he has ‘given assurances’ to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘that he will be fully committed’ at Old Trafford.

The manager is said to have ‘held a series frank and honest talks’ with his potential future captain, having become fearful that he ‘could become a negative force’.

Yet Pogba ‘respects United’s refusal to sell him’ and his ‘attitude’ during pre-season has been exemplary.
