Mourinho: Kane numbers ‘speak for itself’ as striker hits 200
Jose Mourinho believes the goalscoring record of Harry Kane ‘speaks for itself’ after he scored in their victory over Ludogorets.
The talisman opened the scoring in the 13th-minute for the North London side.
He reached a Lucas Moura corner first and headed it home with relative ease.

Moura then scored himself in the 32nd-minute to double their lead. He was set up by the in-form Kane, who bagged yet another assist this season.
Ludogorets surprised Spurs by getting one back in the 50th-minute. Romanian player Claudiu Keseru scored for the underdogs.
However, Giovani Lo Celso was set up by Heung-Min Son in the 62nd-minute.
He dispatched of the chance to ensure all three points for Jose Mourinho’s side.
When asked about Harry Kane, Mourinho said simply: “I don’t need to speak, the numbers speak for itself.”
Kane has now scored 200 goals in 300 games for Spurs. He is getting close to Jimmy Greaves’ club record, which stands at 266.
Speaking about the performance, the Portuguese boss said: “It was good enough to win, the game was under control from the beginning.
“The first half was solid and then we gave them the opportunity to score a goal. We had a positive reaction and it was comfortable.”
Spurs fans will be pleased with their team’s response to the poor loss last week. They were defeated 1-0 by Royal Antwerp in a dismal performance.
That match saw the likes of Dele Alli and Gareth Bale subbed off early.
This time round it was a far different story.
Bale looked sharper than ever since rejoining Spurs and Lo Celso seemed bright. Alli didn’t get on, as Tanguy Ndombele and Son were preferred over him.
Son made an instant impact after being brought on. The South Korean forward set up Lo Celso within 20 seconds of coming onto the pitch.
That meant both Kane and Son continued their incredible goal contributions record this campaign.
There are no Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester City representatives in our rundown of the top ten players of the season. Nor Manchester United, of course, but Jay Rodriguez gets in?!
