Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland is engaged!

Sarah Hyland, 28, and Wells Adams, 35, have taken to Instagram to announce their engagement.

The 28-year-old actress revealed on Instagram that the 35-year-old alum got down on one knee while at a beach and asked those four special words, “will you marry me?”

“That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff,” Hyland, wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, quoting the 1995 film It Takes Two.

Adams also posted an Instagram video which included drone footage of himself getting down on knee, as well as a small clip of images of his proposal. “I’ll be Johnny, you be June. But forever,” he wrote, referencing lyrics from a Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors song. Watch the video here.

“I love you to Pluto and back FIANCÉ!!!!” Hyland commented in the video.

The Modern Family actress and former Bachelorette star met back in 2016 when their romance began with flirting over Twitter, however their romance didn’t bloom officially until 2017. When the pair dressed up in a his and hers Stranger Things outfit for Halloween back in 2017, it was evident they were a couple.

The beginning of the relationship started off long distance as Adams was living in Nashville while Hyland was still in Los Angeles. At the end of 2017, Adams decided to pack up his bags and make the move over to LA to be with Hyland. 

Hyland told that only weeks after Adams moved in she felt it “brought us closer”.

However, the pair didn’t have to just adjust to the move themselves but their furry friends had to as well: “The big concern was I have a big dog and she has two dogs and how that was going to work out,” Adams told .

Now that wedding bells are in the air, we’ll sit back and wait for a wedding date announcement. Congratulations to the happy couple!
