AC Milan are reportedly targeting midfield reinforcements in the January transfer window, and are eyeing up Manchester United target Jean-Clair Todibo, as well as two Premier League enforcers.

According to a report on MilanNews.it, Milan are looking to offload Franck Kessie – linked with Tottenham and Arsenal – who has ‘shown that he has more limits than strengths’ in recent weeks.

17-year-old Todibo – who can play as a centre-back or holding midfielder – looks set to move to Italy from Barcelona, ending speculation linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

And the Rossoneri have also been linked with Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka and United’s Nemanja Matic.

The Swiss international is set to leave the Gunners two years after arriving from Monchengladbach in a deal worth €35m, and is likley to command a higher transfer fee than Matic, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

It is likely Milan will need to sell further players to pay for the reinforcements, and Lucas Paqueta could be sold with Leonardo looking to take the Brazilian international to PSG.

The Series A club are also hoping to welcome former United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic over the winter break, with widespread reports suggesting the Swede is ready to finally accept their offer.
