In an exclusive interview for Vogue VIP with her mum, Sarie Kessler, Queensland-born actor and producer, Margot Robbie, revealed she knows exactly what she wants to have achieved by the time she hits the milestone age of 80.
“I hope I look back and feel like I spent my time well,” she told her mum. “I don’t mind if the movies that I make aren’t massive successes, as long as I know I put in everything I could and I loved the people I was working with.”
While there is no denying that many of the films Robbie has starred in, including The Wolf of Wall Street, I, Tonya, and most recently, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, have been high-grossing box office hits, it’s rather humble for the actress to seek out more than just success.

“Movies just take so long to make and that’s something people don’t know,” said Robbie, who launched her very own production company called LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014, alongside husband Tom Ackerley, and friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr.
“It’s years of your life, so it’s so important to do it with people you love,” she added. “I want to look back and know I had a lot of adventures, a lot of fun with good people and spent my time well.”
Considering she’s had the pleasure of working with Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese, and has starred alongside the likes of Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Allison Janney, and Will Smith, we have no doubt that at 80 years old, the actress will have the fortune of looking back on her career having achieved exactly what she set out to.
