Man Utd and Chelsea to rival Bayern for Swiss midfielder Zakaria
Man Utd and Chelsea look set to rival German champions Bayern Munich for the signing of Denis Zakaria from Borussia Monchengladbach, according to sources.
The 23-year-old is one of the hottest properties in Germany right now and is only contracted for two more years.
He has previously been linked with a move to Liverpool, but it now looks like more elite European clubs are vying for his signature.

According to German journalist Christian Falk, the Premier League rivals will chase Zakaria in summer 2021 alongside Bayern.
It looks like there could be a three-way tug of war for the Swiss international after Monchengladbach lowered their asking price to £45 million.
That represents a pretty decent transfer fee in today’s market for a player who has made over 80 appearances in the Bundesliga and also has bags of potential.
It’s unclear right now which club the player would prefer. As always, Bayern will aim to lure the player from one of their German rivals with the offer of first team football and the chance to play in the lucrative Champions League.
Leaving a deal until summer 2021 also gives Chelsea the chance to recover from their busy transfer window this summer. The Blues spent over £220 million to sign the likes of Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell and Timo Werner.
United recently signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax, so if the Dutchman begins to perform well it could persuade them to cool their interest in Zakaria. They currently have Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay as midfield options.
Fred is also available to United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, although the Brazilian has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Bayern fans will be hoping Zakaria will follow in the footsteps of numerous players in joining them from a rival. Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze and Leon Goretzka have all done so in the past and achieved big things.
