Real Madrid are reportedly already annoyed with Martin Odegaard, just weeks after his loan move to Arsenal.

The 22-year-old joined the Gunners at the end of the January transfer window on loan until the end of the season in search of more game time.

He has already impressed Mikel Arteta and made his first start of the season in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Leeds.

But Defensa Central claim Odegaard has frustrated his parent club with comments about a potential permanent transfer.

The Norwegian refused to rule out a permanent move to the Emirates Stadium, saying: “You never know what happens, but first of all my focus is about the rest of the season. Hopefully (I will) help the team, and then we’ll see what happens.”

This is said to have angered Madrid officials, as they are not contemplating his sale at the end of the season.

The two clubs did not agree a purchase option for Odegaard, which means a permanent transfer would not be completed easily.
