Liverpool prepared to swoop for Arsenal youngster Balogun
Liverpool are reportedly preparing a bid for young Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun in 2021.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a good start to his Arsenal career this season, scoring against both Molde and Dundalk.
Those performances have seen him tipped as a future Gunners star. They’ve also alerted other clubs in the Premier League, however.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool are planning to begin transfer negotiations for Balogun as early as next month.
They’re rumoured to be impressed with his potential and want to capitalise on his current contract situation.
His contract with Arsenal is set to expire in June, which means the Reds can exercise a pre-contract agreement in January.
Arsenal are determined to extend his contract to at least 2023. But it’s believed that the player is stalling on a new deal, as he decides which club may be best for his development.
He is one of the brightest stars to come out of their academy in recent years, meaning club officials will be desperate to keep hold of him.
It’s already been shown how the academy can benefit Arsenal’s first team squad. Graduate Bukayo Saka starred yesterday as they beat Chelsea 3-1 in the Premier League.
Arsenal will need to act fast to prevent Balogun from being tempted with a switch to Anfield.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already shown his trust in young players through the emergence of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones.
They sold Rhian Brewster to Sheff Utd for £23.5 million and could now sign Balogun to replace him as a future attacking star.
2021 could prove to be a big year for Balogun. First he has to decide which Prem club will be best for his development.
