Liverpool give Leeds ‘green light’ to sign defender in January
Liverpool have cleared a path for Leeds United to sign defender Yasser Larouci in the January transfer window, according to reports.
The left-back made his debut against Everton in an FA Cup tie against Everton last January and featured once more before the end of the season.
The 20-year-old hasn’t made a single appearance this season for Jurgen Klopp’s senior side with the German boss preferring the likes of Kostas Tsimikas and Neco Williams as back up in the full-back positions.

And now Football Insider claims that ‘door has opened for Leeds United’ to bring Larouci to Elland Road with his contract expiring in the summer.
Leeds made a play to get him in the summer but failed to agree terms and now they are ready to go back in, with the west Yorkshire side given the ‘green light’ by Liverpool.
The Reds are prepared to let the Algerian-born youngster leave but they want to ‘secure a cut-price fee for him this month’.
Otherwise Liverpool will lose Larouci for nothing in the summer when his contract expired after he recently ‘knocked them back’ over fresh terms.
Championship sides Brentford and Norwich City are apparently ‘keeping close tabs’ on Larouci.
Meanwhile, Fabinho thinks Liverpool need to show “a little more fight” as they prepare for a crucial match at home to Manchester United on Sunday.
“In the league, unfortunately we lost some points that we didn’t lose last season,” Fabinho told ESPN Brasil.
“It goes through a matter of trust. Last year, we had this confidence that we could win the games at any time, with collective action, individual play. This has not happened this year. We have to put a little more fight and work well to beat Manchester and keep the lead.”
