Kofi Kingston Reflects On Wanting An Actual Match With Brock Lesnar & His Conversations With Vince

Former WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston recently spoke with Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, where he reflected on losing the WWE Championship, and what Vince McMahon had to say to him.

Kofi reflected on the relationship he has with Vince McMahon and what he had to say to him following his title loss:

“We definitely had some words. I think it was positive because it was very special for both of us if you saw the documentary when I cam through Gorilla (position) he was on his feet with tears in his eyes, it’s been a wild ride and Vince has been on that with us. He was one of the only people to support the New Day when we were first coming up, he gave us a chance to be a unit. He gave us the opportunity to be bad guys, it was an emotional journey for all of us but it is his job to make sure things keep progressing forward and he wanted to take things in a different direction. I am just fortunate to have had the experience.”

As well as that, Kingston spoke about wishing he had an actual match with Brock Lesnar:

“We always want to be the best, it was a bit of a disappointment to have it go so quickly on the biggest night of SmackDown, to have it end like that was a little disheartening but it is what it is, there’s nothing I can really do about it. The thing about it though, we talk about Ric Flair being a 16 time World Champion, but you can’t say that without having lost it 15 times, so I knew it wasn’t going to last forever but hopefully there is more reigns to come. It was one of the longest reigns in recent history so I am very fortunate to have done that and had so many great matches with such great competition.”
