Television host Karl Stefanovic and his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn have officially cut real estate ties, selling a home the couple bought just months before their marriage ended.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Thorburn shared how the house was “SOLD!” and that a “new chapter awaits”, thanking her agents Piers Van Hamburg and Georgia Lawrence. According to Domain, the property was settled for $9 million in a private sale, turning a profit of $1 million since the couple bought it in 2016.

The three-storey home, which is located on the waterfront in Cremorne in Sydney, features five bedrooms, two living areas, an indoor pool, steam room and even a wine cellar. It also has a boatshed attached to the 450-square-metres of land, with plans approved for a jetty to be built.

The property is essentially brand new, with the couple originally buying just a concrete shell. Thorburn has since decorated the space in a minimal, modern style, with accents of sky blue and white against the greyscape palette. Complete with stunning water views, it’s no doubt this home will be well-loved by its next family.

It isn’t the first property Thorburn and Stefanovic have offloaded. At the time of their split, Thorburn and Stefanovic offloaded their five bedroom Lindfield family home, selling it off in November 2016. This will be their latest (and last) real estate sale together, with Stefanovic now firmly moved on and married to Mara & Mine show designer, Jasmine Stefanovic (nee Yarbrough).

Karl and Jasmine wed in December of 2018 during an intimate ceremony in Mexico. The bride wore J. Andreatta for the occasion, which was hosted at the luxurious One & Only resort in Los Cabos, Mexico. Karl wore Tom Ford and R.M Williams boots — a nod to the couple’s Australian heritage.
