Juve ‘could insert Brazilian player’ in €140m Pogba deal

Juventus are thinking about including a player as part of their efforts to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, according to reports.

Pogba spoke on Sunday of his desire for ‘a new challenge’ after three underwhelming years at Old Trafford.

Real Madrid remains his preferred destination while moves to Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have also been mooted.

United are understood to want a figure around €140million, which could put off a number of potential suitors.

Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) reckons Juve are still interested in a deal for Pogba but they may have to ‘think about inserting a player’ in any proposal.

It is thought that Fabio Paratici spoke to United when he was in London sorting out a deal for Maurizio Sarri to become new Juventus boss.

And Pavel Nedved, meanwhile, had a conversation over Pogba with his agent Mino Raiola in Monaco.

The report adds that the Old Lady will ‘think about inserting a player’ in a deal for the France international with United’s demands so high.

The player to swap ‘could be Douglas Costa’ as they look for a makeweight to include after the Brazilian’s injury problems last campaign.

It seems an obvious suggestion with United desperate for reinforcements on the right-hand side of their attack.
