Inside North West and Penelope Disick’s candy-filled birthday party

Over the weekend, the Kardashians welcomed family and friends to North West and Penelope Disick’s joint birthday celebration, which has traditionally taken place in one of their large, manicured Calabasas backyards.
This year West, who turned six on June 15, and Disick, who is set to turn seven on July 8, opted for a Candy Land-themed extravaganza, based on Hasbro’s best-selling board game. Last year, the cousins enjoyed a joint unicorn-themed party, in 2017 it was a -themed party, and in 2016 a mermaid-themed party was the order of the day.
Proud mums Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian documented the festivities on social media, taking to Instagram Stories to give fans a sneak peek inside the celebration that proved as over-the-top as you’d expect.
“Candy Land is the theme of today, guys, for North’s party,” Kardashian West announced via her Stories. That same morning, the reality star also took to the platform with a series of images of North, captioned: “Happy Birthday my sweet girl! The last 6 years have been the best of my life raising you and seeing you grow up. Mommy loves you forever and beyond!”
Candy decor was splattered across the lawn, strewn across table tops and propped up against walls, a candy-themed jumping castle sat in the backyard and a rainbow board game path lead the way through giant gummy bears, toadstools and lollipops.
A soft-serve ice cream truck offered sprinkle-covered desserts, countless jars of candy sat atop a lolly table and lollipop chandeliers hung from the ceiling. On top of that, a giant candy bar read “Happy B-Day Penelope and North” in sweets, and two frosted birthday cakes filled with an assortment of candy made for the ultimate Instagram moment.
West and Disick pulled out all the stops for their birthday party, opting to wear bright, multicoloured, candy-embellished ensembles. According to , Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Scott Disick, Sofia Richie and Larsa Pippen were also in attendance.
