Henny Rat Would Give Pizza Rat Run For His Money If He Could Move
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Before Hennessy Rat gives Pizza Rat a run for his money, he’s gonna need a Newport and a shower.
A new photo of a rat passed out next to an empty cognac bottle and a pack of cigarettes on a Bed-Stuy sidewalk is taking the internet by storm.
Brooklynites Chris Williamson and Nicholas Heller both posted photos of the rat, which Williamson said he found on the corner of Monroe Street and Ralph Avenue in Bed-Stuy Thursday.
Comedian Patton Oswalt used the photo to announce the first day shooting “Rata2ouille,” the sequel to a movie about French rat named Remy who loves the finer things in life.
Oswalt’s followers were quick to share their delight and wonder.
“It’s a bit darker than I remember the original being,” tweeted Ibecca Huerta.
“Oh look it’s my ex,” wrote @EmmyG_NYC.
Instagrammers also shared their appreciation. Cocktailschmuck commented the image made him “wanna move to NYC.”
Dogemurray inquired, “Are you selling prints of this?”
Disturbingly, between photo shoots, the rat’s position changes: In one picture he appears to next to the bottle and in another he is clutching it with his paws. Whether someone moved the rat, or he dragged his little body closer to his bottle, remains unclear.
