Gossip: Arsenal, City target £45m Madrid star; Man Utd swap

City and Arsenal are in for Isco and United want another creative midfielder…

ONE MAN’S ‘BULLSHIT’ IS ANOTHER MAN’S TREASURE

Isco is ‘ready to quit’ Real Madrid in January. The playmaker has started just three times in La Liga this season and is desperate to secure more playing time ahead of the European Championships in the summer.

Marca claim he has told Madrid of his desire to leave and the Spanish giants are said to be willing to sell for around £45million.

The report claims the 28-year-old has held taks with Zinedine Zidane who ‘was understanding’ of the situation.

Juventus, Inter Milan and Sevilla are all reportedly interested, as are Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta is looking for a creative midfield partner for Thomas Partey, while Pep Guardiola is a long-term admirer of Isco.

He absolutely won’t be joining Everton – that’s bullshit.

F365 says: How dour would Man Utd be without Bruno Fernandes?

FRED SWAP

Machester United need another creative midfielder, apparently. Not satisfied with Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata who are playing, or Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba who aren’t, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fancies another talented playmaker of no use to him.

That’s what the Mirror claimed, and Corriere Dello Sport (via Football Italia) have put a little meat on the bones. They suggest Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte – who claims Eriksen has had ample opportunity to secure an Inter first team place – wants to swap the former Spurs midfielder with Fred.

It took the Brazilian a while to get going at Old Trafford, but he’s performed well in the last 18 months or so; a move elsewhere at this point would be odd.

CITY EVOLUTION

Pep Guardiola has identified Darwin Nunez as Sergio Aguero’s successor at Manchester City.

The legendary Premier League striker is nearing his 33rd birthday and Guardiola and the City hierarchy have reportedly drawn up a list of potential replacements.

If Harry Kane wasn’t on that list already (apparently he was) he will be after his stunning performance in Tottenham’s win over City.

But one of the top targets, according to the Telegraph, is 21-year-old Nunez, who has caught the eye of Guardiola this term with a string of impressive Benfica performances following a £21.8million summer switch from Almeria.

However, the report also states that City officials believe the Uruguayan youngster – dubbed the next Edinson Cavani – would benefit from more time with the Portuguese club to develop before a move to England.

AND THE REST…

City draw up new contracts for Sterling and Jesus… Ronaldo keen on Madrid return… Beckham wants Giroud from Chelsea… Inter monitoring Wijnaldum situation… Zidane says Varane is not for sale… PSG to sell Neymar to keep Mbappe.
