GoFund Me Set Up For Former WWE Wrestler
A GoFundMe has been set up for fomer-WWF staple Jose Luis Rivera. Rivera, who wrestled for the WWF in the 70s & 80s, is in need of new knees, and the post-Maria situation in Puerto Rico has compounded his issues further. His daughter explained the situation on the GoFundMe page:
Jose Luis Rivera is a former WWF wrestler for over 20 years, in time he’s been having knee problems in which he had to get constant x/rays and examinations done. Recently the doctors told him that due to the years of wrestling and constant standing at his current job it affected his ability to stand and walk, the bone mass density in both of his knees has decreased leaving him with the only option of getting platelets and rods put in both of them so he would be able to stand & walk around productively again if he is unable to get the surgery he would have to be put into a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Each knee is $5500.
Due to the holidays that just past and the problems with Puerto Rico’s economy this hospital bill cannot be afforded & his insurance does not cover the cost of the prosthetic. We kindly ask if everyone can please donate something to help him with this hospital bill & for him to be able to walk productively again any bit counts no amount is too small ! Thank you & many blessings to all. ♥?
