Eric Bischoff Starts With WWE Today; Backstage Reaction to His New Role

— Eric Bischoff arrived in Connecticut Tuesday and was not at the site of this week’s Smackdown despite some reports. He officially begins his new job with WWE today, with the first real show under his direction to be next Tuesday’s Smackdown Live. It is expected that it will take Bischoff several weeks to get up to speed with the going ons in the company and according to one source in WWE, almost everyone – including talent – is basically in a “wait and see” mode when it comes to his involvement and how things turn out.
