Daniel Bryan Discusses If He Thinks CM Punk Will Return To WWE

Daniel Bryan recently spoke with Cerrito Live where he opened up about CM Punk and whether or not he believes he will return to WWE in the future.

Ever since Punk joined the WWE Backstage team as an analyst, the rumor mill has been going wild and about the former WWE Champion potentially returning to the ring. Despite Punk constantly stating he isn’t interested, that hasn’t stopped the fans talking about it, or people asking other wrestlers about it.

Daniel Bryan has been the latest name to discuss the possibility of Punk coming back. While he admitted that he hopes Punk does return, it was more interesting that he discussed wrestling himself.

Bryan admitted that even after Punk left, he has always thought that there should be a match between himself and Punk at WrestleMania. Bryan went as far as to say he would be disappointed if that match never happened.

“I always say it’s always so enticing to come back, as much as you don’t want to,” said Bryan. “I would hope yes and also – in the back of my mind and even after he left – I always had this thing where it just seemed to me there should have always been a WrestleMania match between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.

“Now at this point, he may be past that and I know he’s not big on people putting his name out there and saying, ‘Oh, I wanna do this.’ That’s not where I’m coming from with this at all. But just in the back of my head I’m disappointed that we never got a CM Punk-Daniel Bryan WrestleMania match.”
