Cultaholic YouTube Channel Delayed Due to Adam Blampied Scandal
It was revealed a while ago that several prominently featured members of the What Culture YouTube channel had left the company to begin their own company. Adam Blampied, Adam Pacitti, Sam Driver, Ross Tweddell, and Jack King all departed the popular YouTube channel, and the group just recently revealed the launch date for their new website and YouTube channel Cultaholic. A video promoting the launch of the new website was uploaded by the team recently, and they have also been hyping up the beginning of the new services on their social media pages as well. Unfortunately, the launch has gotten off to a rocky start.
Yesterday, a woman came forward on Twitter and revealed that Blampied, the Head of Creative for the future Cultaholics, messaged her online multiple times, asking her to send him nude photos of herself. The woman in question posted detailed information on Blampied’s interactions with her. She revealed that she was 19 at the time, and she was a fan of him on YouTube. She claimed that a drunken Adam would constantly attempt to persuade her into sending topless photos of herself until she finally gave in. She said that the incidents have mentally ruined her, and after learning that he has been doing the same with more women online, she decided to alert everyone on social media. She provided proof of messages Blampied sent to her later on.

He has emotionally abused multiple women and he deserves to suffer the consequences of his actions pic.twitter.com/fZmuMEB5jR

He apologised to me personally for his actions multiple times. He continued to treat women awfully. I don’t trust any apology he gives.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble sleeping since I found out about the extent of this
It feels good to let it out
— Ice Foreleg (@SRbackwards) October 25, 2017
Also, when I confronted him about the number of women who’ve complained about his actions, he straight up lied about it

people asking for receipts as if he didn’t actually publicly admit to it, but sure, ask me to share private screenshots, that’ll help

Since some people don’t take Blampied’s own admission of guilt as proof, here you guy you vultures pic.twitter.com/ex9o3IwAGK

Mere minutes before the woman published her story, Adam Blampied posted a statement on his Twitter account wherein he apologized for his actions. He admitted to sending the messages and confessed that he was not in an open relationship with his girlfriend as he had claimed. Blampied said that he manipulated and took advantage of these women and makes no excuses for what he has done. He then said that he will be taking a short leave of absence in order to seek professional help. The Cultaholic Twitter page put out a statement saying that the launch of the YouTube channel has been delayed in light of Blampied’s scandal. However, their website will still be launching on November 1st.

I’m going to go away after this, I just wanted to say one more thing. Please don’t attack the women for speaking out.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
They have been hurt, by me. There has been enough hurt. Please don’t post something that could harm people who have a right to their anger.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
The purpose of this was not to get points, and any praise for bravery is way off the mark.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
People being supportive is one thing, but please don’t publicly leap to my defence on this. My behaviour doesn’t warrant it.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
The purpose of this was not to excuse myself, but because it’s what the women deserve, for the wider public to see my behaviour.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
Honestly, I didn’t know if it the news would have come out to everyone who follows me. The talking started just under a fortnight ago.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
Anyone who I’ve talked to the last week and half can attest that I truly didn’t know for sure that this would eventually break.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
But I didn’t want to be an open secret, because when people bury their behaviour, keep it to themselves, they don’t change.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
Which is why I did what I did for so long. Knowing the truth is out there, I’m accountable to everyone & I will make certain I am better.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
I didn’t mean for the statement to seem self-serving, I apologise for that. I don’t expect or want praise or defence right now.
— Adam Blampied (@AdamTheBlampied) October 26, 2017
I just wanted you all to know, so that I never hurt anyone ever again. Please be kind and understanding to the women. More than I was.
