Liverpool, Manchester City and Spurs are all expected to win their last-16 ties but the bookies think Chelsea will struggle against Bayern Munich

The Champions League last-16 draw has been made and the four English teams all know who they must beat to advance to the quarter-finals.

Reigning champions Liverpool face a tough task against Atletico Madrid but are still 1/3 (1.33) favourites with bet365 to qualify for the next round and defend their trophy for at least a little longer.

The first leg will take place at the Wanda Metropolitano, where Liverpool beat Tottenham in last season’s final, with bet365 offering Jurgen Klopp’s side at 6/4 (2.50) to take an advantage back to Anfield.

Atletico have not advanced past this stage of the tournament in either of the last two seasons and are out at 9/4 (3.25) to reach the quarter-finals, whilst it is 7/4 (2.75) that they beat the Reds in the first leg.

Premier League champions Manchester City have been drawn against Real Madrid, 13-time winners of this competition, and are just 2/5 (1.40) to reach the last eight for the fourth season in a row.

Real finished as runners-up in Group A and so will host the first leg, with bet365 offering them at 17/10 (2.70) to win at the Santiago Bernabeu and 7/4 (2.75) to reach the quarter-finals. City are 29/20 (2.45) to win in Madrid.

An old rivalry will be rekindled in February when Bayern Munich travel to Chelsea as the two sides meet in the Champions League for the first time since the 2012 final when the Blues claimed victory on penalties.

Chelsea were underdogs in that game and eight years later will be again, with bet365 pricing them at 11/4 (3.75) to win the tie and 5/2 (3.50) to take the spoils at Stamford Bridge in the first leg.

Conversely, Bayern are Evens (2.0) to win at Stamford Bridge and a mere 1/4 (1.25) to qualify for the quarter-finals after winning all six of their group games whilst scoring 24 times, with a 7-2 victory at Tottenham the highlight.

Spurs were handed perhaps one of the kinder draws after finishing second in Group B behind Bayern, with RB Leipzig seemingly one of the more desirable group winners available from the hat.

However, it is 4/5 (1.80) that Jose Mourinho’s men qualify over their German opponents and they are Evens (2.0) to win the first leg at home, whilst Leipzig are 19/20 (1.95) to reach the quarter-finals and 12/5 (3.40) to win in north London.

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund’s clash with Paris Saint-Germain could prove to be one of the best of the round and bet365 make PSG just 1/4 (1.25) to overcome the Bundesliga outfit.

Barcelona can be backed at 1/5 (1.20) to make it into the quarter-finals for the 13th season in a row with their opponents Napoli out at 10/3 (4.33).

Juventus are heavy 1/9 (1.11) favourites to see off Lyon (11/2), whilst Atalanta find themselves as 6/5 (2.20) underdogs against 8/13 (1.61) Valencia.
