Barca ‘sources’ rubbish reports of Arsenal loan move for forward
Barcelona have reportedly rejected claims that Arsenal have made a loan offer for forward Malcom.
The Brazilian made 19 appearances last campaign in all competitions for Barcelona, scoring one goal and assisting two in nine starts.
Malcom joined the Catalan giants for £37m from French side Bordeaux last summer but the deal hasn’t worked out how they would have hoped.
A recent report claimed that Arsenal’s interest remains in Malcom but they would rather take him on loan than pay for a permanent deal, something which Barca aren’t prepared to allow.
The Daily Express went further by claiming an offer had been made and now Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness) claim they have spoken to sources at Barcelona, who reject claims Arsenal have made a bid.
The report from Spain dismisses the idea of Malcom ending up with the Gunners next season and don’t expect the north London side to make an offer.
