Bale will take Spurs ‘to another level’, says former player
Spurs’ loan signing Gareth Bale will take their team ‘to another level’, says former midfielder Steve McManaman.
Bale re-joined the North London side in September on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.
He’s since made six appearances under boss Jose Mourinho and scored his first goal of the season against Brighton.

Former Liverpool and Real Madrid player McManaman thinks the signing is a great one for Tottenham.
Speaking at an event recently, he said: “I think he’ll have a huge impact because he hasn’t lost any of his pace.
“I know he’s had a few injuries at Real Madrid, but he also wasn’t injured for a lot of the time, he just wasn’t playing.
“I think he’s ready to and has a lot of points to prove. I think it’s a brilliant signing for Tottenham.
“When you think of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, and then you throw Gareth into the mix as well, it automatically lifts that starting XI to another level.
“If he stays fit now and he plays 40 games for Tottenham, he’ll definitely score 20, and you just cannot buy those types of numbers.
“The fact that Tottenham have done a great deal bringing him, I think it’s wonderful business I really do.
“If he stays fit, he’ll certainly elevate Tottenham to another level in the Premier League and other competitions this season.”
The return of Bale means Spurs now have one of the best attacking lineups in the Premier League.
Kane and Son have been in great form so far, which gives Bale the chance to return to his best.
The Welshman is thought to be loving his football again after being frozen out at Real Madrid.
He will play an important role as Spurs host Man City this weekend.
A victory could see Mourinho’s side return to the top of the Premier League table.
Just about all of the greatest uncapped Premier League players ever were pursued by England. And only four of them were English.
