Bale plots talks with Ancelotti to discuss Real Madrid future
Gareth Bale is hoping to discuss his Real Madrid future with Carlo Ancelotti once the Euros have concluded.
The 31-year-old will captain Wales at this month’s tournament after spending the season on loan with Tottenham.
He’s been linked with a permanent return to north London, but that will depend on Ancelotti’s plans.

Speaking about the recent managerial appointment, Bale said: “I know Carlo Ancelotti is a great manager. I get on with him really well, we had some great times in the past.
“As soon as the Euros finishes I’m sure I’ll have a conversation and then I’ll go from there.”
Bale recently revealed that he knows where his future lies next season, but is refusing to announce it as it would ’cause chaos’.
“I’m not thinking about anything until after the Euros,” Bale added. “I haven’t spoken to anybody. I’m not thinking about my future.”
The forward worked with Ancelotti at the Bernabeu between 2013 and 2015. During that time, Real won the Champions League and Copa del Rey.
Ancelotti was sacked at the end of the 2014/15 campaign as Los Blancos failed to beat Barcelona to the La Liga title.
Bale and Ancelotti have a far better relationship when compared with that of Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman, who opted to leave Real last month, was not a big fan of Bale and kept him on the bench for much of the 2019/20 season.
As a result, Bale secured a return to Spurs in September last year. He scored his first goal for the north London side in over seven years during the 2-1 victory over Brighton.
Jose Mourinho refrained from making him a regular starter due to ‘fitness issues’, but after the Portuguese’s sacking Bale began to impress.
He scored a hat-trick against Sheffield United and followed that up with a brace on the final day against Leicester.
Bale’s contract with the Spanish giants expires in June 2022. That means they need to sell this summer or risk losing him for free, as a new deal is unlikely.
Paris Saint-Germain have previously been linked with the four-time Champions League winner.
