Bale explains Spurs ‘hunger’ in thinly-veiled dig at Real Madrid
Gareth Bale says he has “settled very well” on his return to Tottenham and insists it’s just nice to feel “wanted”.
The 31-year-old returned to north London on a season-long loan, ending a torrid spell in Madrid.
Bale re-opened his Spurs account with the winner in the 2-1 victory over Brighton and Jose Mourinho claims the Welshman is close to full fitness.

And Bale claims it’s just good “to feel loved” again.
“I feel very happy and I have settled in very well at Tottenham,” he said. “Coming back to a place where you feel loved gives to you the hunger to go again and to play for your fans who you know support you so much.
“It’s nice to be back playing and nice to be where I’m wanted.
“I feel I’m in a good place but there is still more to come, more to improve, and I’m looking forward to it,” he added.
