Backstage News On Top Matches Planned For WWE Hell In A Cell PPV
Following Sunday night’s WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view, the card for the next PPV event, WWE Hell In A Cell, started to take shape.
According to Dave Meltzer (@DaveMeltzerWON) of F4WOnline.com, the plan for WWE Hell In A Cell is for two matches inside the actual Hell In A Cell structure — one male and one female — with Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship and Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks for the RAW Women’s Championship.
After successfully retaining his title against Braun Strowman at the WWE Clash PPV last night, an angle was shot that saw “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt appear and attack “The Architect,” setting up the Rollins-Wyatt HIAC match for next month’s PPV.
Additionally, a post-match angle was shot in the Lynch-Banks bout as well. As noted, “The Man” was “fined $10,000” for “inadvertently striking a referee,” which led to the disqualification ruling for their match at WWE Clash. Following the bout, Lynch continued to attack “The Boss,” locking her in the “DisArm Her” submission through a steel chair, setting up their rematch inside Hell In A Cell in October.
Finally, Meltzer noted that the decision to have Luke Harper return was a late one made by WWE, as Erick Rowan needs a tag-team partner for the expected match against Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at next month’s PPV.

WWE Hell In A Cell is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 6th from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The show will air via pay-per-view and will stream live for subscribers to the WWE Network.
