And Your 2019 NJPW World Tag League Winners Are…
David Finlay and Juice Robinson defeated Los Ingobernables de Japon’s EVIL and SANADA on Sunday evening in Hiroshima, Japan to win the 2019 NJPW World Tag League.
16 teams competed in one giant block during this year’s World Tag League, which means that each team wrestled a total of 15 tournament matches over the course of the last three weeks.
Finlay and Robinson finished the block with 26 points and a final record of 13-2. One of their two losses came at the hands of the current IWGP Tag Team Champions, the Guerrillas of Destiny, who finished third. Their other loss was to the Suzuki-Gun team of Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr.
With Wrestle Kingdom 14 just a few short weeks away, the 2019 World Tag League winners have issued a challenge to Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa for a title match at the Tokyo Dome.
