Marvia Malik, a 21-year-old transgender woman, is Pakistan’s first TV news anchor. Not only she is proud to be at the forefront of the changing attitude of the society, especially in Pakistan, but also acknowledges that there is a long way to go.

Her first appearance on local channel Kohenoor TV went viral on social media. This followed right after she became the first transgender model on the catwalk at the annual Pakistan Fashion Design Council fashion show.
