Uttarakhand On Alert After Heavy Downpours, More Rains Predicted For The Next 48 Hours

The IMD on Friday stated that the northern belt comprising Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Meghalaya are likely to get widespread rainfall during the next 24-48 hours.

Owing to a heavy rainfall alert, the District Information Officer of Dehradun district on Friday announced the closure of all government and private schools on August 25 in Uttarakhand.
