On Wednesday, October 16, Paspaley threw an elegant event to celebrate the launch of its new high-jewellery collection, Megisti.
The launch was held at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal and the event and, indeed, the jewellery collection itself, reflect Paspaley founder, Nicholas Paspaley Snr’s, journey from the Greek Islands to Australia 100 years ago.

The launch welcomed a stylish group of guests such as two generations of the Paspaley family—creative director Christine Salter and executive director Christopher Paspaley—shoe designer Terry Biviano, and campaign muse, Pia Miller.
In the brand’s new feature film presented on the night, Miller embodies the Paspaley woman, wearing rare pearls and precious gemstone-encrusted creations.
In an interview with , Paspaley creative director Christine Salter explained that the Megisti collection jewellery “exhibit[s] a combination of Greek culture and the natural, rugged beauty of the Kimberley—the colours and geometric patterns resembling both escarpments of the Kimberley and the intense blue waters of the Kastellorizo.”
At the launch, guests dined on a menu created by award-winning executive chef Darren Taylor. According to a press statement the menu combined “tastes of the Kimberley” combined with “the flavours of Greece”—a memorable way to pay homage to the brand’s rich history. Milan Ring, who created the music for the campaign film, also performed a short set at the event.
