It’s no secret our favourite designers are embracing the rapid weight gain of furniture silhouettes. Embracing their newfound curves, some of the world’s best brands are stepping into bigger, wider girths with gusto.

And while we’re sipping on celery juice in preparation for summer, furniture silhouettes are bursting at the seams. It’s a popular design trend and is often referred to as chubby, but we at Vogue Living are going with full figured… 

So, why the new obsession with voluminous curves? No matter whether it’s economic, environmental or political, it seems we’re just in need of a big comforting visual hug. Or could it be that the playful whimsy of these shapes take us back to our childhood, a time where life was far more simple?
